Who we are
Mandarin Counselling & Psychology is a specialist counselling service that strives to deliver culturally sensitive & competent counselling and psychotherapy to the Asian and Multi-Cultural community based in the UK & Beyond.
Founded by therapists of Asian heritage who are educated and trained in the West, we aim to bridge the cultural gap that is often felt in the mainstream counselling service.
We are a privately funded organisation with no waiting list, so we can meet our clients’ needs swiftly; the first appointment generally takes place within the first week of you contacting us. We have a very limited number of concessionary counselling places, available only to clients who are genuinely experiencing hardship and financial difficulties, and these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
We have a wealth of experience in helping clients overcome common mental health issues such as stress, depression, various forms of anxiety disorders and psychosomatic symptoms. We take a relational approach to counselling & psychotherapy and have a particular interest in supporting clients with real-life challenges such as cultural differences, adjustment difficulties, relationship conflicts and parenting and fertility-related concerns.
